Overseas operations are our challenge in new fields.
We established a company in Vietnam in December 1993, and started instant noodle operations in earnest (the company is currently known as “Acecook Vietnam”). Our top quality and low priced product, ‘Hao Hao’ (instant noodles in a bag) was a great hit and led us to instantaneously acquire a great many fans. The instant noodle market in Vietnam, a country with a population of approximately 86 million, has now expanded to a scale of an annual consumption of approximately 4 billion servings, and Acecook Vietnam has grown into the company with the No. 1 market share within Vietnam achieving sales exceeding 2.6 billion servings per annum.
At present, in addition to two factories in HoChiMinh in the south and two factories in Hanoi in the north, we have one factory in Da Nang in central Vietnam and one factor in Binh Duong Province to the south west of HoChiMinh, and we are expanding our production and sales bases throughout Vietnam. The number of local staff we employ has risen to close to 5,000 and we are working to further improve technology and quality.
The provision of Acecook’s technology and manufacturing know-how has greatly contributed to the expansion of the Vietnamese instant noodles market and we are very pleased to have been able to contribute to quality improvements.
In the future by aiming to further improve our technological capabilities and by supplying high quality products, we would like to become a company capable of contributing to the dietary habits of not just Vietnam, but each and every region around the world, starting with our various neighboring countries.

The Vietnam beverages market has grown in double figures over the past few years. Last year, with the aim of supplying customers in Vietnam with high quality and appealing products, Acecook established a joint venture company with Kirin Beverage Company, Limited which manufactures and markets soft drinks. Together with Acecook Vietnam, the company responsible for sales, we commenced the sale of soft drinks in June 2009, with the aim of becoming a "retailing company capable of recreating the Vietnamese beverages market".
